Truck drivers, start your engines!

The 2020 schedule of state truck driving championships is nearly complete, with every state poised to send qualifiers on to this year's ATA National Truck Driving Championships and National Step Van Driving Championships in Indianapolis, Aug. 19-22.

State competitions will begin with Louisiana March 27-28, and close with New Jersey June 26-27. Dates are not yet set for Hawaii or Washington, which last year held their events on the second and third weekends of June, respectively.

Indiana will have the chance to use its state championships as a dry run of its national event June 5-6. The weekend of June 4-6 is the busiest on the calendar, with 12 states holding their competition during that time. June 11-14 is right behind it with 11 events.
