Bill Krouse Snags Second Minnesota Truck Driving Grand Champion Crown
YRC Freight’s Bill Krouse can add another trophy to his collection in what has become a long and distinguished career.
Krouse
Krouse won first place in the Flatbed division and took home Grand Champion honors at the Minnesota Truck Driving Championships, held June 8-9 in Coon Rapids.
It was his second state Grand Champion title, with his first coming in 2015. He’s competed in Minnesota’s event 16 consecutive years and has placed first in a class seven times.

2019 Preview
When: June 8-9, 2019
Where: Coon Rapids, Minn.
Field: More than 150 truck drivers are expected to compete in nine categories.
Preview: 2018 Grand Champion Terry Wood of Walmart Transportation will be back to defend his overall crown as well as his first-place finish in sleeper berth.

2018 Recap
McNamee
Tim McNamee of YRC Freight headed to nationals for the second year in a row. After finishing first in the 5-axle division last year, McNamee was able to climb his way to the top this year as Grand Champion.
The two-time NTDC qualifier headed into the national event ready for steep competitors, including four other YRC colleagues from Minnesota. NTDC was held Aug. 15-18 in Columbus, Ohio.
