2019 Recap

Chris Morrison of Hogan Transports won the Sleeper Berth competition to clinch the Grand Champion title at the Missouri Truck Driving Championships

This is the third year in a row that a Hogan driver has won the title. “They killed it,” said Kaitlynn Orr of the Missouri Motor Carriers Association.

Another Hogan driver, Bruce Brewen, who was Grand Champion in 2018 and 2017, won the 4-Axle. Brewen also was top finisher in the written exam.

2019 Preview

 

When: May 31 - June 1, 2019

Where: Branson, Mo.

Field: About 205 truck drivers are expected to compete in nine categories.

Preview: 2018 Grand Champion Bruce Brewen of Hogan Transports will be back to defend his overall crown as well as his first-place finish in the 4-Axle class.

Fifty-nine first-time competitors are expected this year, and overall, 28 companies are represented. In addition, a record attendance of 650-plus is expected at the banquet on Saturday night.

Brewen

Three years, three titles. Bruce Brewen of Valles Mines, Mo., was crowned Grand Champion in front of more than 600 attendees of the Missouri Truck Driving Championships banquet. Brewen drives for Missouri-based company Hogan Transports and competed in the 4-Axle division. He will be joined by eight other class winners as the Missouri Championships Team travels to Columbus, Ohio, to compete against other state teams at the National Truck Driving Championships. He placed No. 13 in the 4-Axle at NTDC.

Robert Roth of FedEx Freight was the state's top finisher at nationals, placing No. 4 in 3-Axle.
