Pedigree Truck and Trailer Sales will open a $7.9 million, 11,887-square-foot flagship dealership in early October in Springfield, Mo., the company announced June 2.

The new facility at 2705 E. Diamond St. will replace Pedigree’s operations at 2700 N. Packer Road and will be the first purpose-built facility in the company’s history, according to a release.

Pedigree is the exclusive dealer for Prime Inc.’s used fleet of commercial trucks and trailers. The company said it has sold nearly 35,000 units, with more than $1.7 billion in lifetime sales. The dealer also said it can install new Thermo King refrigeration units on used refrigerated trailers.

Prime, also based in Springfield, ranks No. 19 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest for-hire carriers in North America.



The building will include a two-bay indoor showroom, customer consultation areas and an in-house finance center. The company also said the site will include a driver lounge with entertainment, device-charging stations, refreshments, showers and a merchandise area. The property will have 107 truck and trailer display spaces outside, with additional inventory staged on adjoining Prime property as incoming equipment is prepared for sale.
