Strong Market Treats Two Suppliers Differently

First-quarter earnings reports for two companies supporting the commercial vehicle industry reflected different results amid a strong environment for freight and booming truck orders. One supplier of fuel and related services for fleets on the road had a net loss but an uptick in revenue while a diversified component supplier saw both its net income and revenue surge.

TravelCenters Receives $10.7 Million From Comdata in Lawsuit

TravelCenters of America reported that Delaware’s Chancery Court awarded attorney’s fees and costs that the company incurred in its litigation with Comdata Inc., the Brentwood, Tenn.-based payments firm and division of Fleetcor. TravelCenters reported that Comdata on April 13 reimbursed about $10.7 million in costs and interest.
