The housing market has been static as Americans wrestle with rising costs and other economic concerns.

The agreements offer some hope to American farmers harmed by the trade war as they saw a major export market for soybeans and other products dry up.

The cloud-computing and e-commerce giant has a market value of $2.9 trillion after adding $432 billion this year.

The new tool — called Alexa for Shopping — supplants Rufus, the shopping assistant bot that summarized product reviews and suggested purchases.

Amazon Now, first launched in India last June, is now available in urban areas of Brazil, Mexico, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, the U.K. and the U.S.

The move would suspend the annual tariff-rate quota, which would enable more of the product to enter the U.S. at low rates.

One of the biggest impacts on the industry from the war is higher transportation costs. The cost of retail diesel touched record seasonal levels in mid-April.

ADM shares were up 1% in premarket trading. The stock has climbed more than 30% so far this year, bolstered by optimism for policies that increase the use of biofuels. 

The world’s largest brewer reported a 0.8% rise in organic volume growth in the first quarter, with beer up by 1.2% according to a statement May 5. 

The use of so-called alternative marketing agreements between cattle feedlots and meatpackers, instead of open auctions, has long drawn scrutiny.
