USA Truck Expects Third-Quarter Loss

USA Truck on Monday announced that it expects a net loss for the third quarter of 2011, but said it is too early in the quarter to predict the range of the expected loss.

CEO Cliff Beckham said the company has seen a temporary decrease in efficiency associated with its implementation of new enterprise management software.

“We are actively addressing this issue and expect the negative impact to be short-term,” Beckham said in a statement.

The company reported net income of $600,000, or $0.06 per share, for the third quarter of 2010.

USA Truck is ranked No. 50 on the Transport Topics Top 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
