TireHub has appointed John Cavanaugh to the role of chief financial officer, the tire distributor announced June 29.

He replaced Scott King, who will aid in the transition before retiring later in the year.

Cavanaugh assumed his new role July 1.

TireHub called Cavanaugh an experienced tire industry executive who will help drive continued growth.

“John is a seasoned finance executive who brings more than 15 years of tire industry experience to TireHub,” said TireHub CEO Ted Becker. “I am confident he will add a new level of strategic vision to our leadership team as we continue our trajectory of dynamic growth.”

TireHub is a national tire distributor co-founded by Bridgestone Americas and the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. Cavanaugh worked at Goodyear for over 15 years in a variety of financial leadership positions. He most recently served as CFO and vice president of administration at the business-to-business hand hygiene solutions company Gojo Industries.

“I am excited to join TireHub in its mission to transfom the industry as it focuses on the needs of dealers and their growth,” said Cavanaugh. “It is a privilege to join this leadership team and build upon the already strong foundation.”

TireHub was founded in 2018 and operates 80 logistics centers across the country.
