RoadLink USA Buys Intermodal Firm Transus

Intermodal and logistics firm RoadLink USA said Thursday that it has acquired Transus Intermodal, an intermodal trucking services company. RoadLink USA is a portfolio company of Fenway Partners, a private equity firm that focuses on the transportation/logistics/distribution and branded consumer industries. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.Headquartered in Atlanta, Transus has about 300 drivers, mostly owner-operators.With $40 million in annual revenue, it is among the largest providers of intermodal trucking in the South, and with 12 service centers, it is one of a small number that provide full regional coverage in the intermodal trucking space, the company said.Jim Pressley, former President of Transus, will now head RoadLink’s southern operations.RoadLink USA is ranked No. 99 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
