According to data provided by company officials, Overnite moved more than 565,000 shipments during November, a 4.8% decrease from November 1998. But, they reported, revenue rose 2.9% above the year-ago period, as the total weight of shipments declined 2.6%.

At the same time, Overnite reported, its on-time performance has continued to improve and has been running above 97% since Dec. 7. The company strives for 96% on-time performance. The lowest it has been in December, officials said, was 96.18% on Dec. 2, and the highest was 97.79% on Dec. 14.

Overnite Chariman Leo H. Suggs said there has been "no movement toward a settlement" since the strike began.
