Oil Finishes Week Over $103 a Barrel

Oil rose almost $2 on Thursday to finish the trading week at $103.31 a barrel, following an earlier report that jobless claims fell to the lowest level in four years, Bloomberg reported.

Crude futures rose $1.84 to $103.31 on the New York Mercantile Exchange, Bloomberg said. The Nymex and U.S. equities markets are closed for Good Friday.

Oil had settled at $101.47 a barrel Wednesday, the lowest price and first time crude has closed below $102 in seven weeks.

Diesel dipped half a cent this week, its first decline in 10 weeks, while gasoline rose for the 10th straight week, the Department of Energy reported. DOE will release its next survey on Monday.
