LAS VEGAS — Mack Trucks is doubling its network of electrification infrastructure service providers for fleets operating its MD Electric and LR Electric models, the Volvo Group division said May 4.
ABM and Lane Valente Industries will join InCharge Energy and Heliox as turnkey solutions providers supporting Mack’s battery-electric models, the truck maker said at the 2026 Advanced Clean Transportation Expo.
The program involves site assessment, engineering and design, permitting, utility coordination, equipment procurement, installation and ongoing maintenance.
ABM’s eMobility solutions team has installed more than 30,000 EV charging ports nationwide and offers end-to-end fleet electrification services.
Lane Valente Industries is a facility maintenance, construction and energy solutions provider. The company’s electric vehicle charging station infrastructure division is more than 15 years old and has supported the deployment of over 20,000 charging ports across the U.S. and Canada.
“Charging infrastructure continues to be one of the most significant barriers to commercial EV adoption, and Mack is committed to removing that hurdle for our customers,” said Ryan Saba, e-mobility energy solutions manager at Mack.
“By expanding the turnkey solutions program with ABM and Lane Valente, we’re giving fleets access to experienced, full-service providers that can manage the entire infrastructure process — from site assessment through long-term maintenance — so our customers can focus on running their operations,” he added.
The LR Electric, a refuse truck, was Mack’s first battery-electric model. It was unveiled in March 2022.
The MD Electric is available in Class 6 and Class 7 ratings and was introduced in March 2023. Its diesel-powered MD sibling was introduced in 2020, after Mack Trucks’ nearly two-decade absence from the medium-duty market.
Mack launched ElectriFi Subscription, a usage-based leasing option for the MD Electric truck, in October 2023 to boost demand.
“The commercial EV market is at a critical inflection point, where fleets are moving from early pilots to scaled deployment,” said Nick Angeramov, vice president of energy services at Lane Valente Industries. “Our inclusion in Mack Trucks’ program allows us to meet that moment alongside an OEM that understands both the operational realities of its customers and the complexities of electrification.”
Mack revealed plans to offer an electric version of its flagship Pioneer over-the-road tractor at the 2025 Advanced Clean Transportation Expo. Mack unveiled the Pioneer in April 2025. The tractor is part of Volvo Group’s ambitions to increase its share of the North American heavy-duty truck market to 25% by 2030.
