Each Volvo Group unit said its flagship on-highway tractors began rolling off production lines in May with the updates already in place.

“Let’s see exactly how it will play out now, because it has been a very recent development,” Volvo Group CEO Martin Lundstedt said during the Q2 earnings call.

Remote software updates are becoming more standard as tractors grow more sophisticated and the ability to maximize fleet uptime through the advances becomes a key selling point.
