NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Iconic rock band Bon Jovi was the surprise entertainment at the Freightliner and Western Star 2021 customer appreciation event.

The New Jersey-based rockers played signature ’80s classics such as “You Give Love a Bad Name” and “Livin’ on a Prayer,” as well as more recent hits such as “Who Says You Can’t Go Home” and “Lost Highway” for an invitation-only audience of about 1,000 at the open-air Ascend Amphitheater in downtown Nashville.

Daimler Trucks North America, the manufacturer of Freightliner and Western Star trucks, hosted the private concert for trucking industry executives Oct. 25 during American Trucking Associations’ Management Conference & Exhibition.

The identity of the evening’s entertainment remained a closely held secret until Daimler executives made the announcement minutes before Bon Jovi took the stage.

DTNA’s annual customer appreciation event returned this year after a hiatus in 2020, when MCE switched to a virtual format due to the coronavirus pandemic.
