Brent crude oil, the international standard, fell 0.7% to $105.91 a barrel. That is still higher than the roughly $72 per barrel in late February before the Iran war.

Brent crude oil declined 0.4% to $103.89 a barrel. The drop in oil prices comes after stocks felt pressure on Oct. 8 from a 4.1% rise in the price for a barrel of Brent to more than $104.

Oil prices declined Sept. 25 as investors look for signs of the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Brent crude dropped 1.6% to $98.63 per barrel.
