The Port of Corpus Christi and investment firm The Carlyle Group will team to develop an inland crude oil export terminal for some of the world’s largest oil tankers.

The Port of Corpus Christi remains closed after an oil drilling ship broke from its mooring Aug. 26, sank a tugboat and beached in the ship channel’s entrance to the Gulf of Mexico.

New Braunfels, Texas-based Rush Enterprises posted a profit Feb. 15 of 31 cents per share, matching Wall Street expectations. Fourth-quarter profit was $12.5 million, above analysts’ expectations of $12.3 million.

Truck dealer Rush Enterprises Inc. reported third-quarter profit fell by 25%, blaming the continued softness on the lull in the oil industry.
