Xata Corp. Changes Name, Introduces Mobile Platform

Xata Corp. has changed its name to XRS Corp., to go along with a new mobile platform the company unveiled during the Xata User Event in Minneapolis.

XRS stands for Xata Road Science and is also the name of the new product the company announced that is capable of running on smartphones and tablets rather than being hard-wired into a truck.

The software runs on 50 types of mobile devices and communicates via Bluetooth to the trucks computer through an XRS relay device.
