The Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association announced last month that Alyn Jones has been selected as its 2020 Driver of the Year.

Jones, a driver for the Martin-Brower Co., has been driving professionally for 44 years and has logged 4.3 million accident-free miles.

“Alyn Jones epitomizes what it means to be a professional truck driver,” said WMCA President Neal Kedzie. “His impeccable safe driving record and selfless giving of his time to worthy volunteer causes earned him the elite honor of being named Driver of the Year. Alyn serves as an inspiration for all drivers to be the very best in their field and their community.”

To be nominated for WMCA Driver of the Year, the driver’s employer must be an association member and the driver must reside in Wisconsin. They are selected based on their safety record, performance and service.

As part of the honor, Jones received a commemorative jacket, belt buckle, personalized license plate and commendation from Gov. Tony Evers.

Outside of trucking, Jones does volunteer work with several organizations, including Ronald McDonald House Charities.
