Wheel Chock Policing Canceled by OSHA

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has notified its staff of the need not to enforce a wheel-chock requirement during truck loading and unloading.

The action came after a March demonstration of the spring brake system by the American Trucking Associations.

OSHA hopes to issue a directive on the acceptance of the spring brake system next month, said Stuart Flatow, director of occupational safety and health at ATA.
