Weekly Jobless Claims Dip by 2,000

Initial jobless claims declined slightly last week, the Labor Department said Thursday.

Claims dipped by 2,000 for the week ended Saturday, to 370,000, Labor said.

The initial claims figure matched economists’ forecasts, Bloomberg reported.

The four-week moving average, a less volatile measure, fell to 370,000, from 375,500.



Continuing jobless claims for the previous week ended May 12 fell by 29,000, to 3.26 million.
