Volvo, Mack Offer Pre-Paid Maintenance Plans

Volvo Trucks and Mack Trucks have introduced pre-paid preventive maintenance plans to help customers better control and manage their expenses.

The truck makers, which are both part of the Volvo Group, said in separate statements that their new premium maintenance plans offer a variety of coverage levels and allow customers to lock in current rates for parts and labor.

The plans can cover services ranging from oil changes and 74-point inspections to more in-depth maintenance, such as service for the exhaust aftertreatment system, transmission and chassis.

Volvo’s maintenance plans cover all model year 2011 and newer Volvo trucks powered by Volvo D11, D13 or D16 engines.

The Mack plans are available for all model year 2011 and newer Mack trucks equipped with Mack MP7, MP8 or MP10 engines.

Customers can purchase the plans through Volvo and Mack dealers.

“By proactively focusing on service, we help keep the customer on the road by routinely placing the care of their truck in the hands of highly trained Volvo technicians,” said Magnus Gustafson, director of service contracts and workshop solutions at Volvo.

David Pardue, Mack’s vice president of aftermarket business development, said: “We’ve created these plans with flexibility in mind, so customers can select a plan that best aligns with their business needs.”
