USA Truck Reports 2Q Loss

The truckload carrier reported a loss of of $3.5 million, or 34 cents per share, compared with a profit of $600,000, or 6 cents, a year ago.

Revenue fell to $130 million from $139 million, USA Truck said.

Trucking revenue fel to $72 million from $85 million, while intermodal revenue rose to $5.4 million, from $5.2 million.

USA Truck is ranked No. 49 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
