TWIC Enrollment Continues at U.S. Ports

Registration for truck drivers and other transportation workers to get the Transportation Workers Identification Credential, a biometric identification credential that will be required for unescorted access to secure areas at all U.S. ports.

Last week TSA began enrollment for the TWIC in Charleston, S.C.; Cleveland; Detroit, Boston; and Port Fourchon, La.

This week, TWIC enrollment will take place at Brownsville, Texas; Mobile, Ala.; and Indiana Harbor, Ind.

The Transportation Security Administration and U.S. Coast Guard have estimated that about 110,000 drivers will need a TWIC credential.
