3PLex Carves Niche in Logistics Market
Third-party logistics veteran Benjamin Gordon launched the company 3PLex to be one of the few transportation-related online exchanges designed to add 3PLs, not just shippers and carriers, to the exchange process. The 3PLix platform is designed to automate load shipping using the AMTrix exchange broker software from Viewlocity, which is designed to enable collaboration between partners that use different technology and different operating systems. During the six-month site development, 3PLex got advice from Romar, Calloway, and Mark VII, which were involved in beta testing of the site.
