TravelCenters’ 1Q Loss Narrows

TravelCenters of America on Monday said its first-quarter loss narrowed from a year ago as fuel sales improved.

The truck stop chain’s loss was $14.2 million, or 49 cents per share, compared with $16.6 million, or 92 cents, a year ago.

Revenue rose to $2 billion, from $1.8 billion, TA said in a statement. Fuel sales volume rose 2.4% from a year ago.
