Tenet Transportation Tech recently merged with Crown Data Systems, combining Tenet’s carrier operations software with Crown’s airfreight trucking software business. The companies said the combined organization serves more than 400 customers and partners across the United States and Canada.
The merged company will support cartage, expedited, courier, drayage and less-than-truckload operations, according to a release. It will operate from offices in Buffalo, N.Y., and Atlanta.

King said the deal aligns with Crown’s approach to product development. “Crown was founded on innovation. We solved inefficiencies in our own business and changed the market. This is our legacy,” he said. “I see in Tenet that same innovation, helping us extend our legacy into the future with the best solutions and service in the industry.”
Miami-based Tenet said its platform includes dispatching, driver mobile apps, warehouse operations, freight scanning, invoicing and reporting across first-, middle- and last-mile carrier operations.
The companies said Kirkpatrick will lead the combined company as CEO. King will remain president of Crown before transitioning to a strategic adviser role.
Crown was founded by King in 1997 in Buffalo and began as a rating, dispatching and invoicing system built for his own business, the release said. The companies said the merger brings together more than 40 employees and expands resources, including a broader partner network.
