New FMCSA Administrator
John HillThe Senate has confirmed John Hill as administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, an FMCSA official said Friday.

The nomination was approved by Senators late Thursday, in advance of their August recess, which starts Friday.

“John Hill possesses decades of experience in law enforcement and commercial motor vehicle safety,” said acting Transportation Secretary Maria Cino.

"We appreciate that the Senate made it a priority to confirm John before their recess and I know he will be an exceptional FMCSA administrator,” she said in a statement.

President Bush nominated Hill in May to succeed former FMSCA Administrator Annette Sandberg.
