Senate Confirms FHWA Chief, Other Transportation Officials

he Senate last week confirmed a host of federal transportation officials, including Richard Capka to be administrator of the Federal Highway Administration.

Prior to its Memorial Day recess, the Senate also confirmed:

Nicole Nason, Administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration;



Roger Shane Kerr, an assistant secretary of Transportation;

Tyler Duvall, an assistant secretary of Transportation;

Thomas Barrett, administrator of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration within the Department of Transportation;

Ralph Basham, Commissioner of Customs, Department of Homeland Security;

Rob Portman, director of the Office of Management and Budget; and

Idaho Governor Dirk Kempthorne (R), as Secretary of the Interior.
