GRAPEVINE, Texas — SAF-Holland will relaunch its aftermarket parts-on-demand electronic catalog in a more comprehensive and user-friendly digital format, POD Plus. The company said the new catalog would be available to all of its distribution channel in the second quarter, calling it another step in SAF-Holland’s digital transformation.

“The new POD Plus site offers an enhanced and truly amazing customer experience,” said Carl Mesker, vice president of sales for the Americas. “This enhanced customer experience allows entry-level parts staff along with senior parts veterans like me to easily and quickly identify the SAF-Holland parts needed to help a fleet get its equipment back on the road fast.”

POD Plus connects with the company’s business system. The enhancements, after 18 months of development, include real-time inventory and order entry, order history for ones placed online or through its customer service representatives, invoice history placed online or through its CSRs, customer-specific and scale pricing, serial number search and mobile device compatibility.

The company made the announcement at Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week 2020.

Automatic order tracking and updates on delivery status on the new site are set to follow in the third quarter. Catalog information is available in English or Spanish, with French for the Canadian market possible at a later time.

“Data shows that e-commerce solutions have grown significantly since the initial launch of POD in 2015. We recognize this trend and plan to keep current to ensure we are exceeding customer requirements,” Mesker said. “This is increasingly important when taking into consideration the work environment expectations of the upcoming digital generation.”
