Patrick Moebel Appointed President of FedEx Trade Networks

FedEx Logistics Inc. has appointed Patrick Moebel to be president of FedEx Trade Networks Transport & Brokerage, Inc., the company announced May 10.

Moebel has more than three decades of experience in the brokerage, supply chain and transportation industries across Europe, Asia and the Americas. He assumed the role Jan. 1. FedEx Logistics CEO Udo Lange is optimistic he will have an impact across the entire company.

“Patrick has impressive and extensive leadership experience in the logistics industry,” Lane said in a statement. “With Patrick Moebel at the helm of FedEx Trade Networks, we will continue to evolve as the FedEx Force Multiplier, driving value for all of FedEx and unleashing our unique capabilities with a clear focus on continuing to provide world-class service experience for our customers.”

FedEx Logistics is a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. The FedEx Trade Networks division handles air and ocean freight forwarding and customs brokerage businesses collectively.

FedEx Logistics said in the announcement that Moebel has excelled as a collaborative global citizen, team builder and communicator throughout his career. The company added that his credentials include the successful transformations of sizable forwarding and brokerage businesses on a country regional, and global level. Moebel is a native of Basel, Switzerland, and speaks fluent English, French, and German.

FedEx Corp. ranks No. 2 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest for-hire carriers in North America.
