Paccar to Name Armstrong CEO; Pigott Remains Chairman

Truck and engine maker Paccar Inc. announced that company President Ronald Armstrong will succeed Mark Pigott as CEO on April 27.

Pigott, who has been Paccar’s chairman and CEO since 1997, will remain as executive chairman of the board of directors.

“I am grateful to Mark and the board for the privilege to lead Paccar and our 22,000 employees in our goal of delivering profitable growth and excellent shareholder returns,” Armstrong said in the Dec. 16 announcement. “On behalf of all Paccar employees, I would like to thank Mark for his 17 years of outstanding leadership and strategic vision as Paccar’s chief executive officer.”

In addition to his role as CEO, Armstrong will join Paccar’s board of directors.



Paccar’s board also elected Robert Christensen as president and chief financial officer, effective April 27.

Paccar is the parent company of Kenworth Truck Co. and Peterbilt Motors Co.
