Oil Holds Under $95 a Barrel

Oil traded near the lowest in two days as China signaled it may step up efforts to cool its economy, tempering fuel demand in that country, Bloomberg reported Tuesday.

Crude futures were trading at $94.86 in pre-market New York Mercantile Exchange trading, Bloomberg said. The Nymex was closed Monday for the July 4th holiday.

 

Oil closed on the Nymex at $90.61 on June 27, the lowest closing price since Feb. 18, Bloomberg figures showed.



The Department of Energy will release its weekly survey of filling stations’ diesel and gasoline prices Tuesday afternoon in Washington, because of the holiday Monday.
