Oil fell to its lowest level in two weeks Friday, dropping to near $81 a barrel, Bloomberg reported.

Crude futures fell $1.44 to finish the trading week at $81.25 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, the lowest closing price since Sept. 29, Bloomberg said.

Oil prices have traded at more than $81 every day for the past two weeks for the first time since April, pushing diesel’s pump price to more than $3 a barrel.

Trucking’s main fuel gained 11.5 cents in the past two weeks, to average $3.066 in the Department of Energy’s most recent weekly survey.

DOE will release its next weekly price survey Monday afternoon in Washington.
