NEXIQ to Adapt Palm Devices for Diagnosis

The personal digital assistant comes in handy for surfing the Web, checking e-mail, taking notes and as a personal calendar and phone book. But the little devices are so customizable that it’s easy to add extra features — even ones that apply to truck maintenance.
So NEXIQ Technologies Inc. is working to adapt the electronic gadgets to check diagnostic data from heavy-duty truck engines.
NEXIQ is a major manufacturer of circuit boxes that translate signals from engine control modules into code that diagnostic software can understand.
