ND Seeks Escaped Murderer

North Dakota authorities are on the lookout for a muderer who escaped a prison transport bus Thursday when it stopped at a truck stop in Santa Rosa, NM.

Kyle Kenneth Bell, 32, was convicted in September of molesting and murdering an 11-year old girl from Fargo in 1993. He was sentenced to life in prson and was being sent to a maximum-security prison in Oregon when he escaped.

He was last seen wearing a purple shirt and dark pants. Authorities suspect he is fleeing to Mexico.

Gov. Ed Schafer said Thursday that the State of North Dakota is offering a $50,000 reward for his capture. "We are offering this reward to send a strong message that we want this criminal back, and we will use every means available to see that he is found and jailed," he said.

Bell is 5’11" tall and weighs 200lbs, with green eyes and blonde hair. He has tattoos on his chest, right arm and left arm. Bell has also used the aliases John Davis, Carl Bell and Jonathan Shaw.
