NAFC Board Plans to Reorganize Council

ALLAS — At its first stand-alone meeting in two years outside of American Trucking Associations’ annual management conference, the National Accounting and Finance Council board said it planned to reorganize the group to become more flexible and provide more input into ATA planning.

NAFC General Chairman John Culp, who is also chief financial officer of Maverick Transportation Inc., told Transport Topics the board wanted to reorganize the council to address industry issues more quickly and raise the group’s prominence.

“There is a need for this organization,” Culp said. “We’re working on an improved structure and a different environment.”
