Mitchell 1 announced it added Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards codes to its TruckSeries suite of truck repair software solutions that help technicians estimate labor times, and diagnose and repair all makes of trucks in Classes 4-8.

Developed by the Technology & Maintenance Council of American Trucking Associations, VMRS is the shorthand of maintenance reporting. It establishes a universal language for fleets, original equipment manufacturers, industry suppliers, computers and the people whose responsibility it is to specify, purchase, operate and maintain equipment.

With TruckSeries, VMRS codes display automatically, eliminating the complex process of manually looking up the appropriate VMRS code for work in progress, according to the San Diego-based company.

Labor estimates generated by TruckSeries include VMRS codes for work performed, giving fleets the information they need to make important decisions about their vehicles.
