Love’s Travel Stops and Daimler Truck North America have begun rolling out a maintenance network for light mechanical repairs on the truck maker’s Freightliner-branded vehicles.

Freightliner ExpressPoint was launched Jan. 18 at more than 400 Love’s Truck Care and Speedco locations across the U.S. Further locations are planned, the companies said.

The partnership was announced in January 2023.

Freightliner is the top-selling brand of Class 8 trucks in the U.S. In 2023, Freightliner owned a more than 37% share of Class 8 retail sales across the prior three-year span.

“We are excited to have Love’s Freightliner ExpressPoint network fully online, less than a year after announcing our partnership with DTNA,” said Eric Daniels, vice president of total truck care for Love’s. “Love’s Truck Care and Speedco technicians have received comprehensive training from their local Freightliner dealer to provide quality customer service maximizing uptime for the drivers who keep America running.”

Through the ExpressPoint network, Freightliner drivers will be able to obtain light mechanical warranty repair work, roadside warranty emergency services, and approved field service and recall campaigns.

Love’s locations will work directly with local Freightliner dealers to source parts.

Separately, Love’s has been expanding training for its Truck Care network.

In April 2022, the company said the first Love’s Truck Care Academy had been commissioned in Amarillo, Texas. A five-week, residential training program is required to graduate. Upon graduation, technicians head to a Love’s Truck Care or Speedco location as a diesel technician.

A second Love’s Truck Care Academy opened in El Reno, Okla., and a third in Mooresville, Ind.

Love’s opened its first Truck Care location in 2008.
