Suspensions supplier Link Manufacturing announced President and CEO Denny Michels will retire on Dec. 31. Chief Operating Officer Jim Huls will succeed him as president beginning Jan. 1, it said.

“Link has a very bright future and the stability within our leadership team will ensure a smooth transition for our employees, customers and business partners,” Michels said in a statement.

Under Michels’ leadership, Link sent out its one-millionth shipment of its Cabmate suspension in 2008, and grew to 200 employees from 20, according to the company.

Link manufactures a variety of suspension systems for tractors and trailers plus specialty products, according to the Sioux city, Iowa-based company.
