Gasoline Price Falls 4.3 Cents to $2.89, Lundberg Reports

verage retail gasoline prices fell 4.3 cents over the past two weeks to $2.89 a gallon, according to the latest Lundberg survey of gasoline prices released Sunday.

The drop comes was from to more supply than demand, according to survey editor Trilby Lundberg, Bloomberg reported. The latest survey ran from June 10 through Friday.

Gasoline futures prices in New York fell 2.5 cents in the past two weeks on signs that supplies will be able to meet peak summer demand, Bloomberg said.



The survey reported the highest price for self-serve regular gasoline was $3.26 a gallon in Honolulu. The lowest was in Charleston, S.C., at $2.61.
