Flag Display Sparks Confrontation

A confederate flag displayed on a bug shield sparked a confrontation between two trucker drivers.

Jimmy Brogdon of Chattanooga, Tenn., said he was driving down Interstate 65, near Lafayette, Ind., when Jeffrey G. Robinson of Chicago tried to force him off the road onto the shoulder, and when that failed got in front of him and slowed down to 35 miles per hour.

Police, who pulled both drivers over after overhearing them arguing on the CB, say Mr. Robinson was angry about the confederate flag bug screen on the front of Mr. Brogdon’s truck.

Mr. Robinson was arrested on charges of misdemeanor intimidation and criminal recklessness with a vehicle.

Mr. Brogdon said he is going to replace the Confederate flag with an American one.
