Drivewyze Expands to Rhode Island

Drivewyze Inc. announced that Rhode Island has become the 13th state to adopt Drive-wyze PreClear, a new bypass service provided through smart phones, tablets and select electronic onboard recorders.

PreClear does not require poles or transponders. Instead, the service uses cellular networks and the Internet to enable mobile devices and certain EOBRs with transponder-like functionality, Drivewyze said.

“Adding Rhode Island means Drivewyze PreClear is now active in 13 states across the eastern corridor of America, from Maine to Mississippi,” Drivewyze President Brian Heath said in an Oct. 8 announcement.

PreClear provides bypass services at four mobile inspection sites in Rhode Island, said Drivewyze, which is a subsidiary of Intelligent Imaging Systems Inc.
