Dorsey Launches All-Aluminum Platform Trailer Series
Specialty trailer manufacturer Dorsey Trailer introduced an all-aluminum platform trailer series, Aluminum Giant, with a capacity of 80,000 pounds evenly distributed, according to the company.
Aluminum Giant trailers come standard with 5-inch extruded channel cross members on 15-inch centers and a coil package while maintaining a starting tare weight of less than 8,900 pounds.
Also, the Aluminum Giant drop-deck model shares the same fabrication materials, procedures and components, and allows the end user to haul tall loads while maintaining higher payload capacity and superior corrosion resistance, Dorsey said.
All trailers in the new series are available with multiple beam packages and axle configurations, the manufacturer said.
Dorsey, founded in 1911, is a division of Pittsview, Alabama-based Pitts Enterprises Inc.
