iesel prices fell in all five major regions, led by a 2.7-cent decline in the West Coast region, to $2.594, the highest regional average.

California, which DOE breaks out separately from its regions, saw its price fall 3.5 cents to $2.674.

The Midwest region had the lowest price, dropping 2.1 cents to $2.398.

Each week, DOE surveys 350 diesel filling stations to compile a national snapshot average price.
