Continental Tire’s Results Gain; Truck Tire Sales Drop

ontinental Tire North America’s European parent company said Thursday its sales rose 9.8% last year to $17.22 billion, though its heavy-truck tires sales declined.

The company’s commercial vehicle tires fell 8.1% to $1.7 billion, though global truck tire sales rose 1.7% to 6.7 million units.

Its passenger and light-truck tires division boosted its sales by 8.3% to $5.5 billion.
