Con-Way Canada Express, the Canadian-based subsidiary of Con-Way Central Express, is extending its network by rolling into five more Canadian provinces.
Con-Way Canada Express was formed in January to replace Con-Way Central Express, which has operated in Canada since October 1992. Headquarters for the new company is in Mississauga, Ontario.
“Con-Way has strong ties to Canada,” said Steve Bilas, general manager of Con-Way Canada Express. “We have continually added to our service network and employee base in Canada during the past eight years.”
The carrier is expanding into New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan and Alberta, in addition to its established service areas of Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba. The growth will increase its coverage to 22 of the 25 most highly populated Canadian markets.
