Computer Sciences Corp. Awarded Maryland Highway Contract

nformation Technology firm Computer Sciences Corp. has been awarded a contract by the Maryland State Highway Administration to help enhance the state’s Coordinated Highways Action Response Team system, the company said Monday in a statement.

Under the five-year agreement, CSC will provide systems integration, development testing and deployment of the enhanced Chart system throughout the state.

Chart is a transportation management system that supports operations centers that monitor and manage traffic across Maryland.



The company will also help Maryland’s Intelligent Transportation System meet current and future IT standards as defined by the Federal Intelligent Transportation System committee.

The deal is valued at about $44 million, CSC said.
