Canadian Software Firm to Open U.S. Office to Meet Demand

anadian software provider Cube Route said the Toronto-based company will open its first U.S. sales office in Chicago in the next few weeks in order to meet rising demand for Internet-based logistics services.

Alex Walker, Cube Route’s chief executive officer, also announced that Bill Green, a former executive at Dallas-based i2 Technologies, will head the Chicago office and serve as vice president of sales.

Walker said officials selected Chicago after considering several other cities, including Boston and Atlanta. “It’s a good central hub for us to reach customers throughout the United States,” he told Transport Topics.
