Cadence Premier Logistics has opened the Pit Stop Truck Center, a 77,000-square-foot facility in Joliet, Ill., the company announced Nov. 14.

The center will accommodate the latest in technologies as the transportation industry moves toward electric vehicles. The facility will offer truck and trailer parts, diesel fuel sales, electric charging stations and a truck wash, according to a press release.

“The growth of our company is a result of the county, city and surrounding community support,” Cadence CEO Rocky Caylor and Chairman Tom Maciulis said in a joint statement.

Cadence also will partner with local high schools and college students to provide technical training as well as internship opportunities.

“By embracing the past and looking to the future, we want to be a catalyst for young people to see what opportunities exist in a career in the transportation, logistics and supporting technology industry,” Caylor said.
