British Truckers Jam London in Diesel Protest

Hundreds of trucks blocked traffic in central London Tuesday to protest soaring diesel prices there, the Associated Press reported.

Truckers facing diesel prices of the equivalent more than $9 a gallon pressed government officials companies for rebate of about $1.85 per gallon on the cost of fuel, which has soared 30% this year, AP said.

A delegation of truckers was heading to the prime minister’s residence Tuesday to hand in a letter calling for action.
